The Psychology of Sport and Exercise is an international forum that broadly defines academic research in the field of sport and exercise psychology. The journal is open to various methodological approaches and welcomes high-quality empirical studies, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, commentaries on published PSE papers, and topics of general interest to PSE readers, as well as trial protocols and professional practice reports. All submitted manuscripts must demonstrate academic rigor and go beyond mere description. Trial protocols must adhere to the CONSORT guidelines, and authors are required to provide flow diagrams and include the CONSORT checklist in their cover letters. Meta-analyses must follow the PRISMA guidelines, with authors also providing flow diagrams and including the PRISMA checklist in their cover letters. Systematic reviews are encouraged to follow the PRISMA guidelines, although this is not mandatory. Authors interested in submitting replication studies of published research must contact the editor-in-chief before commencing replication. We do not accept manuscripts aimed at testing the psychometric properties of existing scales translated from English into another language unless new validation methods are employed to address previously unanswered research questions.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
A journal article with 1 author
A journal article with 2 authors
A journal article with 3 authors
A journal article with 5 or more authors
