The journal "Ecological Indicators" aims to integrate the monitoring and assessment of ecological and environmental indicators with management practices. It provides a platform for discussing the development of applied sciences, reviewing traditional indicator methods, and exploring theoretical, modeling, and quantitative applications such as index development. Research findings will be published in the following areas: • Various aspects of ecological and environmental indicators; • New indicators and new methods for their development, testing, and use; • Development and modeling of indicators, such as the application of indicator suites across multiple scales and resources; • Analysis and research of resource, system, and scale-specific indicators; • Methods for integrating social and other valuation indicators to conduct scientifically rigorous and politically relevant assessments based on indicators; • How to translate research indicators into direct applications for management purposes; • Broader assessment goals and methods, such as biodiversity, biological integrity, and sustainability, through the use of indicators; • Resource-specific indicators, such as landscapes, agricultural ecosystems, forests, wetlands, etc.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
A journal article with 1 author
A journal article with 2 authors
A journal article with 3 authors
A journal article with 5 or more authors
