The mission of Arctic, Antarctic, and Alpine Research is to enhance the understanding of cold region environments by publishing original scientific research on high-latitude areas and mountainous regions. The rapid environmental changes occurring in these cold regions today underscore the global significance of this research. The journal publishes peer-reviewed interdisciplinary papers, including original research articles, brief communications, and review articles. Many of these papers integrate various disciplines, including ecology, climatology, geomorphology, glaciology, hydrology, paleoceanography, biogeochemistry, and social sciences. Papers can be single-discipline or multidisciplinary but should have interdisciplinary appeal. Special thematic issues and programs are encouraged. The journal receives contributions from international authors across academia, government agencies, and land managers. Additionally, it publishes commentary articles, book reviews, and memoirs. Arctic, Antarctic, and Alpine Research is affiliated with the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research (INSTAAR), the oldest active research institute at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
A journal article with 1 author
A journal article with 2 authors
A journal article with 3 authors
A journal article with 5 or more authors

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.
