Archives of Budo is an international peer-reviewed journal that focuses on various aspects of sports science, covering education and research in martial arts and combat sports, as well as biomechanics, exercise physiology, medicine, psychology, sociology, sports equipment technology, research training, selection, performance, survival, and other interdisciplinary perspectives. The journal supports the principles outlined in the Helsinki Declaration and expects that all research involving humans adheres to these principles. All human research must be approved by the researcher's institutional review board, and relevant documentation should be included with the manuscript. Additionally, Archives of Budo follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) regarding academic conduct, reporting, editing, and publishing. The journal provides free, immediate, and permanent online access to all articles distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial License (CC BY-NC 4.0), allowing for use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited, the use is non-commercial, and other licensing terms are met.
