Avian Conservation and Ecology is an open-access, fully electronic scientific journal sponsored by Canadian ornithologists and the Canadian Ornithological Society. We publish scientifically rigorous papers related to avian conservation in a cost-effective electronic format, allowing scientists and the public to access them freely and in real-time. ACE is a fully indexed ISSN journal that welcomes contributions from scientists around the world. While the journal's name suggests a focus on conservation and ecology, we believe that understanding our objectives through an ecological lens is essential. Therefore, we are particularly interested in contributions that employ scientifically sound and rigorous methods to achieve avian conservation, especially those insights revealed through ecological principles and processes. We expect papers to navigate a continuum from pure conservation and management to more pure ecology, but our emphasis will always be on contributions directly related to conservation goals.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Books Citation Format

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.
