The journal "Nanotoxicology" invites contributions related to research on human and environmental exposure, hazards, and risks associated with the use and development of nanostructured materials. In this context, the term nanostructured materials is broadly defined to include materials with at least one dimension in the nanoscale range. These nanomaterials range from nanoparticles and nanomedicines to nanocoatings on larger materials and composites. Given the diverse range of nanomaterials currently in use and development, this journal encompasses a variety of materials intended for targeted delivery to the body (such as food, drugs, diagnostics, and prosthetics) and consumer products (like paints, cosmetics, electronics, and clothing), as well as particles designed for environmental applications (e.g., remediation). The unifying aspect of these materials, which defines the scope of nanotoxicology, is their nanoscale dimensions. While the term "toxicology" implies the presence of risks, the journal "Nanotoxicology" also aims to cover research that enhances the safety of nanomaterials during production, use, and disposal. Well-controlled studies demonstrating a lack of exposure, hazards, or risks associated with nanomaterials, or aimed at improving biocompatibility, are welcomed and encouraged, as such research will advance the field of nanotechnology. Additionally, many developments in nanoparticles are aimed at improving human health (e.g., antimicrobial agents), and such articles are likewise encouraged. To enhance quality, the journal "Nanotoxicology" will prioritize publications that have demonstrated the characteristics of the nanomaterials studied.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors
