《比利时胃肠病学学报》主要出版临床胃肠病学和肝病学领域（包括消化肿瘤学、消化病理学和营养学）的同行评审原始手稿、评论、致编辑的信函、书评和指南。纯动物或体外工作将不被考虑在期刊上发表。如果转化研究论文（包括动物或体外研究的部分）与临床肝胃肠病学（筛查、疾病机制和/或新疗法）有明确的关系或相关性，则期刊会考虑这些论文。如果病例报告和临床图像对描述、发病机制或特定胃肠病学或肝脏问题的治疗有重要贡献，则将被接受。杂志的语言是英语。来自任何国家的论文都将被考虑发表。提交给本刊的手稿以前不应该发表过（用英语或任何其他语言），也不应该考虑在其他地方发表。未经请求的论文在决定是否应被接受、拒绝或退回修改之前经过同行评审。不符合提交标准（如下所示）的稿件将退还给作者。超出期刊范围的论文一般会在2周内由编辑委员会退回给作者。本刊保留编辑接受发表的论文的语言以确保清晰和正确的权利，并保留进行正式更改以确保符合 AGEB 风格的权利。作者有机会审查证明中的此类更改。
