The African Journal of Marine Science serves as an international forum for the publication of original scientific contributions and reviews, covering various aspects of marine, continental shelf, and estuarine waters, including marine science, biology and its habitats, and aquaculture. We welcome papers on biological resource conservation and management, related social sciences and governance, or new technologies, with a particular encouragement for interdisciplinary research. We prioritize rigorous, problem-oriented studies over purely descriptive research. Contributions from African waters, including the Southern Ocean, are especially encouraged, although submissions related to Africa from other regions are also welcome. Submissions can be full papers or brief communications. The journal aims to achieve balanced representation across disciplines while also publishing proceedings from special discussions and regular themed guest editorials.

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
