The Health Information Management Journal (HIMJ) is the official peer-reviewed research journal of the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA). HIMJ provides a forum for the dissemination of original research and commentary on a wide range of topics related to health information management. The journal covers the exchange of health information at international, national, hospital, and health practice levels, including clinical and administrative health information systems; electronic health records; privacy and confidentiality; health classification and terminology; health systems, funding, and resource management; consumer health informatics; public and population health information management; implementation and evaluation of information technology; and education in health information management.
