The journal "Service Oriented Computing and Applications" aims to publish original and high-quality research results on the paradigm, models, and technologies of Service-Oriented Computing (SOC), which significantly contribute to the development of service-oriented systems and their applications. Service-Oriented Computing has become a major research topic in recent years. Although this concept has evolved from early component-based software frameworks, the web service standards are based on readily available and publicly accessible internet protocols, making it easier and cheaper for companies to adopt. The strong support from major computer and IT service companies has further accelerated the acceptance and adoption of SOC. However, service developers and users face many significant challenges and opportunities introduced by the dynamic nature of software service environments and demands. This necessitates new concepts, methods, models, and technologies, as well as flexible and adaptive infrastructures for service development and management, to facilitate on-demand integration and service formation across different platforms and organizations. The success of service-oriented systems relies on adopting derivative technologies to meet the evolving demands of the environment. This journal focuses on issues and research results related to the development of service-oriented technologies, including service infrastructure, theoretical foundations, and their applications and experiences in service-oriented computing. The topics covered by the journal include, but are not limited to, the following areas related to service-oriented computing and applications: service-oriented architecture, service analysis, design, development and testing, service orchestration and composition, resource management, web services and their quality and reliability, service-oriented software engineering, service requirement engineering, SOA solution patterns, service matching and policies, verification and validation of SOA systems, system technology security, trust and privacy, QoS and end-to-end performance, web service standards, autonomic computing, IP and digital rights management, agents and integration, service connection technologies, grid-based web services, business services and technologies, business service representation and knowledge, business process integration and management, supply chain and channel management, auction negotiation, e-commerce standards, service-oriented semantic computing, semantic web, software agents, service discovery, ontology engineering, service evolution methods, service-oriented applications, e-commerce and mobile commerce, electronic entertainment, e-learning, e-government, and e-health.

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors
