Molecular Informatics is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to publishing high-quality interdisciplinary research in the fields of bioinformatics, cheminformatics, and computer-aided molecular design. Since its inception in 2010, Molecular Informatics has made significant contributions to QSAR and combinatorial science. The innovative methods proposed in the journal lead to a deeper understanding of ligand-receptor interactions, macromolecular complexes, molecular networks, design concepts, and processes. These concepts illustrate how ideas and designs can achieve the desired structure or function, with a strong emphasis on experimental validation. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, drug discovery and chemical biology, protein and nucleic acid engineering and design, nanomolecular structure design, macromolecular assembly modeling strategies, molecular networks and systems, drug and chemical genomics, computer-aided screening strategies, and new technologies for de novo design of bioactive molecules. The journal features significant technical depth across the fields of EPTS and ADVANCES.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Books Citation Format

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.

Thesis Citation Format

Web sites Citation Format

Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
