ACS Nano is a monthly international journal that serves as a forum for the exchange of comprehensive articles on research in nanoscience and nanotechnology at the interfaces of chemistry, biology, materials science, physics, and engineering. The journal facilitates communication among scientists in these research communities to develop new research opportunities, advance the field through new discoveries, and engage scientists at all levels. ACS Nano publishes articles on the synthesis, assembly, characterization, theory, and simulation of nanostructures (including nanomaterials and components, nanodevices, and self-assembled structures), nanobiotechnology, nanofabrication, and methodologies and tools in nanoscience and nanotechnology. In addition to comprehensive original research articles, ACS Nano offers extensive reviews, perspectives on cutting-edge research, dialogues with thought leaders in nanoscience and nanotechnology, and thematic discussions that provide unique insights into the future of the field.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
A journal article with 1 author
A journal article with 2 authors
A journal article with 3 authors
A journal article with 5 or more authors
Books Citation Format
Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.

Web sites Citation Format
Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
