Advances in Oceanography and Limnology was established in 2010, originating from the 35-year-old Proceedings of the National Congress of the Italian Association of Oceanology and Limnology. The journal serves as an interdisciplinary platform that embraces both fundamental and applied research in oceanography and limnology, focusing on both single and multiple disciplines. Currently, two regular issues are published each year, along with Special Issues that address timely topics of significant interest to limnologists and oceanographers. As the official publication of the AIOL, the journal is also published in association with the European Federation for Freshwater Sciences (EFFS), which aims to promote freshwater sciences across Europe. Since the 2015 issue, Advances in Oceanography and Limnology has been published as an Open Access, peer-reviewed journal, featuring regular articles, reviews, short notes, and opinion papers.

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 2 authors
