Conservation Physiology is an online, fully open-access journal published by the Society for Experimental Biology. Global biodiversity is increasingly threatened by human activities. This journal will publish research on all taxonomic groups (microorganisms, plants, and animals), focusing on understanding and predicting how organisms, populations, ecosystems, and natural resources respond to environmental changes and stressors. Physiology is defined broadly, encompassing functional and mechanical responses at all scales. We also welcome research that develops and refines strategies for population reconstruction, ecosystem restoration, and informing conservation policies and management of biological resources. We have a broad definition of conservation physiology and encourage potential authors to contact the editorial team with any questions regarding the scope of the journal.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.
