Advanced Healthcare Materials was first published in 2011 as a special focus section of Advanced Materials and became an independent journal in 2012. The journal is classified into three ISI categories (Materials Science - Biomaterials, Engineering - Biomedical, and Nanoscience & Nanotechnology), and it achieved an impact factor of 6.270 in 2019 (source: Journal Citation Reports, Web of Science Group, 2019). Advanced Healthcare Materials serves as an international interdisciplinary forum for high-impact peer-reviewed papers that focus on biomaterials aimed at improving human health. These biomaterials include nanomaterials, hydrogels, two-dimensional materials, biopolymers, composites, biocomposites, biomimetic materials, and inorganic materials for biomedical applications. Research on biological interfaces includes antibacterial surfaces and coatings, mechanobiology and biocompatibility studies, cell interface engineering and stem cell differentiation, 3D cell culture, and immunoengineering. Applications of nanomedicine and nanotechnology in drug delivery, imaging, therapeutic diagnostics, gene therapy, and immunotherapy, as well as studies for treating infectious diseases, cancer, metabolic diseases, and cardiovascular diseases, including vaccines and precision medicine. Research in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine covers scaffold and non-scaffold approaches, such as studies for bone, ligament, and muscle tissue engineering; skin regeneration and wound healing; nerve grafts; cardiac patches; and tissue vascularization. Research in biomanufacturing includes (bio)inks and technologies for generating functional tissues and organs. Devices for healthcare applications, such as diagnostics, wearable devices, implantable devices, microfluidics, biomems, organ-on-chip and lab-on-chip technologies, bioelectronics, biosensors, actuators, and soft robotics.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Books Citation Format

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.

Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
