Advanced Healthcare Materials was first published in 2011 as a special focus section of Advanced Materials and became an independent journal in 2012. Advanced Healthcare Materials serves as an international interdisciplinary forum for high-impact peer-reviewed papers that focus on biomaterials aimed at improving human health. These biomaterials include nanomaterials, hydrogels, two-dimensional materials, biopolymers, composites, biocomposites, biomimetic materials, and inorganic materials for biomedical applications.
