The Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences (ISSN (Print): 2289-4659; e-ISSN: 2231-8380) is an open access peer-reviewed journal indexed by the Emerging Source Citation Index (ESCI), WOS, SCOPUS Index (Elsevier), EBSCOhost, Index Copernicus, Ulrichsweb, DOAJ, and Google Scholar. It publishes original and review articles that enhance the understanding of the fundamentals of engineering science and its applications in addressing challenges and problems in mechanical engineering systems, machines, and components. The journal particularly focuses on demonstrating engineering science solutions to specific industrial issues. We encourage original contributions that provide insights into analytical methods, computational modeling, structural mechanics, metal forming, the behavior and application of advanced materials, impact mechanics, strain localization, and other nonlinear effects, fluid mechanics, robotics, tribology, thermodynamics, and materials processing. Only original, innovative, and novel papers will be considered for publication in JMES. Authors are required to confirm that their paper has not been submitted to any other journal in English or any other language. JMES welcomes contributions from all who wish to report on new developments and the latest findings in mechanical engineering.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.

Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
