Abstract To some degree, Environmental stressors such as road traffic noise affect all organisms as well as their populations, communities, and ecoscapes. Evidence indicates that noise exposure can lead to changes in learning and spatial memory. Notably, in recent years nanotechnologies have been applied to human health with promising results. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Zinc/Iron oxide nanocomposites on spatial learning and memory in rats exposed to noise stress. Using gelatin, Zinc/Iron oxide nanocomposites were synthesized by the green method. Four groups of rats were exposed to sound stress for 12 days. Three groups received 1.25, 2.5, and 5 mg/kg of Zinc/Iron oxide nanocomposites (ST+N) before the noise stress. Also, three control animals received the same doses of the nanocomposites (CO+N). One group of the stressed (ST) and control (CO) rats received saline. The animals were introduced to the Morris water maze (MWM) for the assessment of learning and spatial memory. We observed a significant difference between the spatial memory of the CO and ST animals. but no significant differences were found between the spatial lerning of the CO and ST rats or between the CO+N and ST+N groups.

Effects of Zinc/Iron oxide nanocomposites on learning and spatial memory in rats exposed to noise stress

锌/氧化铁纳米复合材料对暴露于噪声应激的大鼠学习及空间记忆的影响

The photocatalyst process is considered the most promising method for the removal of water contamination. For excellent chemical and structural properties of Co3O4 nanoparticles, various Co3O4-based nanostructures can be applied as a photocatalyst. In this work, carbon quantum dots is prepared via an eco-friendly process and linked to Co3O4 effectively. X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV-visible absorption spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The photocatalyst process reveals that prepared nanocomposites can be degraded methylene blue under solar irradiation strongly. Results showed that methylene blue and methyl orange are degraded via 64% and 56% efficiency after 70 minutes of irradiation under visible irradiation using Co3O4 nanoparticles respectively. The photocatalytic performance of Co3O4 nanoparticles was improved via linking SN-GQDs and formation SN-GQDs/ Co3O4 nanocomposites. UV-Vis analysis revealed that charge transfer from Co3O4 to SN-GQDs and prevent charge recombination in Co3O4 which leads to better photocatalytic efficiency. This study introduces SN-GQDs/ Co3O4 nanocomposites as a novel and green photocatalyst agent.

Effect of Sulfur and Nitrogen co-Doped Graphene Quantum Dots on Co3O4 Nanoparticles as Solar Induced Photocatalyst

硫和氮共掺杂石墨烯量子点对Co3O4纳米颗粒作为太阳能诱导光催化剂的影响

Nano scale statistical variability which arises from discreteness of charge and granularity of matter has become one of major concerns in digital design particularly in sub-50nm technology nodes. Device intrinsic parameters such as the threshold voltage and drive current will be influenced by random dopants, line edge roughness and gate grain granularity which in turn results in variation of SRAM cell performance. Therefore, providing an accurate statistical model is one of the key issues among SRAM design community. Since both 6T and 8T SRAMs are widely used in the industry as standard cells, this article analyzes sensitivity of static noise margin (SNM) in response to statistical variations in 6- and 8-transistor cells. The results show that though 8T cells need more transistors and thus consume more area on the wafer compared with 6T cells, they are more stable and thus are better candidates for variability aware design in future technology nodes.

Impact of nano-Scale Statistical Variability on SRAM Stability: A Comparative Study between 6T and 8T Cells

纳米尺度统计变异性对SRAM稳定性的影响：6T与8T单元的比较研究

Different antibiotic drugs are widely present in the environment for the treatment of bacterial infections. Overuse of antibiotics leads to the accumulation of these drugs in water systems. Removing antibiotics-based pollutants from water is essential. Nanoscience and nanotechnology can be very helpful in this field. In this work, CuO/ZrO2 nanocomposites was prepared via the simple and facile method. The prepared samples were analyzed X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis, and UV-Vis analysis. The results indicate the high potential of synthesized nanocomposites made in photocatalytic degradation. The prepared CuO/ZrO2 Nanocomposites degrades 96.4% of Tetracycline antibiotic under ultraviolet light irradiation after 120 min. The effect of CuO/ZrO2 nanocomposites dosage and solution pH was studied. It was found that the photocatalytic performance of CuO/ZrO2 nanocomposites can be improved via increasing concentration until optimal dosage (0.8 g/L) and in a higher dosage than 0.8 g/L no significant improvement was observed. Also, the results confirmed that the photodegradation of tetracycline can be elevated via increasing pH.

CuO/ZrO2 Nanocomposites: Facile Synthesis, Characterization and Photocatalytic Degradation of Tetracycline Antibiotic

CuO/ZrO2纳米复合材料：简易合成、表征及四环素抗生素的光催化降解

Nanostructures have proved to be a very attractive option for sensor application due to their physical and chemical properties. In recent years, carbon quantum dots as a new member of carbon nanostructures has been widely used in the field of sensors. In this work, carbon quantum dots was synthesized via green precursors using hydrothermal method. The prepared products were characterized via with X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), FT-IR, UV-Vis, and Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The results revealed that the prepared carbon quantum dots provide excitation-dependent fluorescence emission. The obtained findings from photoluminescence spectroscopy revealed that as-prepared carbon quantum dots could be applied as a fluorescent probe for detection of ascorbic acid. The PL of carbon quantum dots can be significantly quenched by Cr(VI), which follows a dynamic quenching mechanism. As ascorbic acid enters the solution, Cr(VI) reduced to Cr(III) which cause the turn back the carbon quantm dots fluorescence and a good linearity in range of 0.06–0.18 mM.

Novel Carbon Quantum Dots: Green and Facile Synthesis, Characterization and its Application in On-off-on Fluorescent Probes for Ascorbic Acid

新型碳量子点：绿色简便合成、表征及其在抗坏血酸开关型荧光探针中的应用

Six types of new nanocomposites materials were synthesizing as dental composites, that based on the different sets of unsaturated monomers (where they know by groups name of (A, B, C, D, E, and E)) in addition to 2, 2 propyl bisphenol glycidyl dimethacrylate (Bis-GMA) and inorganic Nanofillers [SiO2, ZrO2, HA, and Al2O3] which adding individually, were characterized for the reason of assessed their promising applications as restorative materials in the dentistry field.The flexural strength and flexural modulus of the prepared dental nanocomposites were examined and the results were widely discussed and connected to the composition materials of these composites.The results show that the composites with specific monomers (BIS-GMA, meth acrylamide, methacrylic acid, and 1-6 hexanediol methacrylate) for the group (D) that reinforced with silica nanoparticle have elevated flexural properties as compared with other types of the prepared nanocomposite, where these values reached to(144 MPa and 5.4 GPa) for flexural strength and flexural modulus respectively.
