The journal "Rhizosphere" aims to advance our understanding of plant-soil interactions. It is a multidisciplinary journal that publishes research on the interactions between plant roots, soil biota, nutrients, and water. Plants primarily acquire all elements from the soil through their roots, aside from carbon fixed through photosynthesis. We are beginning to understand how the communication between the rhizosphere, soil biota, and other plant species affects root exudates and nutrient uptake. This rapidly evolving field employs molecular biology and genomic tools, manipulation of food webs or community structures, high-performance liquid chromatography, isotope analysis, various spectroscopic analyses, tomography, and other microscopy techniques, as well as complex statistical and modeling tools.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.
