Background: Human immunodeficiency virus infection and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) is a spectrum of conditions caused by infection with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Following initial infection, a person may not notice any symptoms, or may experience a brief period of influenza-like illness. Typically, this is followed by a prolonged period with no symptoms. If the infection progresses, it interferes more with the immune system, increasing the risk of developing common infections such as tuberculosis, as well as other opportunistic infections. Objective: To reveal the Clinical Conditions and Co-infection rates by different infectious agents among the patients of HIV-AIDS. Materials &amp; Methods: It is a descriptive type of cross-sectional study. A pre-tested, semi structured and modified interview administrated questionnaire was used to collect data. Non - randomized, sequential, and purposive and plenitude sampling methods have been tried by following face to face interview of the participants. Results &amp; Discussions: In this study the percentage of male was 63% and the percentage of female was 37%. 49% respondents were in 33-47 years of age groups. In this study 55% respondents were up to primary education. We found out that 36% of the respondents were part-time workers. It was seen that 44% respondents’ monthly family income was between 10,000 – 20,000 BDT. It was observed that 98% of the respondents knew about HIV/AIDS. It was observed that 63% of the respondents knew about the causative agent of HIV/AIDS. Majority of the respondents were HIV positive for more than 3 years.51% of the respondents were informed that HIV/AIDS is not infectious. 82% of the respondents were aware that HIV/AIDS is not curable by drugs. 71% of the respondents knew about the symptoms of HIV/AIDS. 92% respondents in unsafe physical relation HIV/AIDS transmits. Here maximum respondents had different infections. Conclusion: It was seen that the respondents of this study did not have knowledge on HIV/AIDS at satisfactory level. Still a portion of them is wrong and replied incorrect answers or did not know about different issues regarding HIV-AIDS though some of them were replying satisfactorily. Knowledge About HIV-AIDS and Co-infection Rate Among HIV-AIDS Patients: A Study Among Different Community Clinics of Chattogram District, Bangladesh

The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly affected lifestyles, including sleep quality, dietary habits, and body weight status. This cross-sectional study investigated the associations between sociodemographic characteristics, sleep quality, food group consumption with body weight status among university students during Malaysia’s Movement Control Order (MCO). An online survey was conducted with 145 participants, aged 19-24 years old between June - Aug 2021. Data on socio-demographics, sleep quality, food group consumption, and self-reported anthropometric measures were collected. The findings showed 46.2% had normal weight, 37.2% were overweight or obese, and 16.6% were underweight. Majority being 22 years old (80%), female (91.7%), and of Malay ethnicity (93.1%). Sleep quality was reported as fairly good by 44.1% of respondents, and beverages were the most consumed food group (median: 5.42 servings/day). Age was positively correlated with body mass index (BMI) (r=0.179, p&lt;0.05), while dietary intake of cereals and cereal products showed a significant positive association with BMI (r=0.435, p&lt;0.05). Conversely, fish and seafood consumption was inversely associated with BMI (r=-0.185, p&lt;0.05). No significant association was observed between sleep quality and BMI. In conclusion, age and specific dietary patterns, particularly the consumption of cereals and fish, were significant factors associated with body weight status during the MCO period. These findings highlight the need for targeted nutritional education and interventions to promote balanced dietary habits, especially during periods of restricted mobility, to mitigate potential adverse effects on body weight and overall health. To study the prevalence of thyroid disorders among patients of ischemic stroke and to correlate it with the severity of stroke on basis of NIHSS score and functional outcome after 3 months on basis of modified Rankin Scale (mRS).1 Method: This hospital based descriptive, randomized, single blinded, analytical study was done in the department of Medicine, SRIMSR hospital, Raipur from September 2023 to Dec2024. A total of 82 patients above 18 years of age who had ischemic stroke were included. Every patient was subjected to detailed clinical history and neurological examination. Two neurological scores, namely NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) and modified Rankin Scale (mRS) was used. The severity distribution of NIHSS score on admission was divided into 3 categories, mild: NIHSS &lt;8; moderate: 8-14; severe: &gt;14. Neurological impairment and improvement were assessed using NIHSS, together with modified Rankin Scale (mRS)[1,2] from follow up OPD visits. Favorable outcome is defined as mRS&lt;2[3]. The first OPD follow up usually occurs 2-4 weeks after discharge from hospital and we have assessed clinically after 3 months of discharge. Basic and clinical characteristics including demographic data such as sex, age, concurrent illness, medication was collected and categorized. We have divided patients into 5 group on the basis of serum free T3 (FT3), free T4 (FT4) and TSH; NTIS, Euthyroid, Hyperthyroid, Overt hypothyroid &amp; Subclinical hypothyroid (SCH) [4]. Results: Among 82 patients with available laboratory data and relatively complete neurological impairment documentations met all inclusion criteria, 59 men and 23 women. Patients with subclinical hypothyroid had significantly mild neurological impairment at presentation on basis of NIHSS score (P = &lt; .05) and have good functional outcome on follow up after 3 months on basis of mRS score. Conclusion: on the basis of this study it can be concluded that ischemic stroke patients with subclinical hypothyroid (SCH) at presentation has less stroke severity and these group of patients have better functional outcome at 3 months of follow up but further studies with large sample size are needed to validate our findings. Hypertension is a significant global public health issue widely prevalent around the world. High blood pressure (BP) is a major risk factor for chronic disease, stroke and coronary heart disease. The aim of the study was to compare the reported experience of stressful life events among hypertensive and non-hypertensive individuals in reference to their gender. Presumptive stressful life event scale developed by Singh (1984) was administered on 200 individuals (100 hypertensive and 100 non-hypertensive) selected purposively. The findings revealed that hypertensives reported significantly higher number of undesirable stressful life events and higher stress. Moreover, hypertensives experienced higher stress through various stressful life situations in comparison to non-hypertensives. Furthermore, the difference in reporting stressful life events between hypertensive and non-hypertensive individuals, in relation to gender, was statistically non-significant (p &gt; 0.05). Supersonic flight has been of interest for decades due to the advantages it offers in speed and efficiency of transport, which are advantageous to both commercial and military aircraft. This paper covers a comprehensive review of various wing configurations for supersonic flight. We explore the aerodynamic and structural challenges associated with the various wing types. Supersonic flight offers significant benefits, but also poses complex engineering challenges including concerns with drag, stability, and sonic booms. This review examines the performance of straight, low-sweep, swept-back, delta, forward-swept, and oblique wings and highlights their respective advantages and limitations across different regimes. Straight and low-sweep wings excel at subsonic speeds, but struggle with high drag at supersonic velocities, while swept-back wings and delta wings offer superior performance at high speeds but come with trade-offs in lift and low-speed efficiency. Forward-swept wings provide potential for noise reduction and overall favorable supersonic flight characteristics, but face challenges like aeroelastic instability. Oblique wings, though promising in reducing drag and sonic booms, have significant structural challenges at high Mach numbers. Ongoing research in materials science and aerodynamic modeling continues to advance supersonic aircraft design. These studies and development efforts are paving the way for next-generation supersonic aircraft.
