Raman spectroscopy could supply the molecular vibrational process giving the detailed information of molecular structure. At the same time, electrochemistry could provide kinetic and thermodynamic processes. Integration of both technology with the general definition of using spectroscopic approaches for assaying the variations triggered through an electrochemistry-based system within an electrochemical cell induces a novel technique, spectroelectrochemistry (SEC). Raman-spectroelectrochemistry possesses interdisciplinary advantages and can further expand the scopes in the fields of analysis and other applications, emphasizing the cutting-edge issues of analytical chemistry, materials science, biophysics, chemical biology, and so on. This review emphasizes on the recent progress of integrated Raman/Surface enhanced Raman scattering-spectroelectrochemistry and aimed to summarize the spectroelectrochemistry device, electrode materials and applications of Raman/Surface enhanced Raman scattering-spectroelectrochemistry over the past several decades. Finally, the key issues, future perspectives and trends in the development of Raman/Surface enhanced Raman scattering-spectroelectrochemistry are discussed.

Flexible electronics has attracted tremendous attention in recent years. The essential requirements for flexible electronics include excellent electrical properties, flexibility and stretchability. By introducing special structures or using flexible materials, electronic devices can be given excellent flexibility and stretchability. In this paper we review the realization of flexible electronics from the perspective of structural design strategies and materials; then, healthcare application of flexible electronic systems was introduced. Finally, a brief summary and outlook are presented.

This work presents a comparative study of three synthesis methods for PtRu/C catalysts for use in polymer electrolyte fuel cells, investigating their activity in methanol oxidation. The evaluated methods were formic acid reduction (FAM), methanol reduction (ARM), and ethylene glycol reduction (ARE). XRD analysis confirmed the formation of a Pt-Ru binary alloy in all syntheses. Electrochemical tests indicated that all catalysts were properly prepared, with the PtRu/CARE catalyst standing out as having the best performance, achieving a power density of 74,88 mW cm −2 at 90°C and an oxygen pressure of 3 atm on the cathode. These results highlight the potential of PtRu/C ARE for application in direct methanol fuel cells, surpassing the catalysts obtained through the other methods.

Comparative performance of PtRu/C catalysts synthesized by different methods for direct methanol fuel cells under various operating conditions

In this study, we present a novel numerical model that incorporates the effects of spontaneous and piezoelectric polarization-induced electric fields, along with multiple intersubband transitions, to investigate the optical absorption characteristics of InGaN/GaN strained single and double quantum well’s structures. Focusing on the role of Indium surface segregation (ISS) in polar QW structures, we examine its influence on intersubband transition-related optical absorption and the resulting spectral behavior. Specific structural configurations are designed to achieve four-energy-level with single and double quantum wells, optimized for three-color absorption within the near-infrared range. Our findings reveal that the combined impact of ISS and strain induces a notable red shift in the absorption spectra, with shifts varying significantly across different intersubband transitions. These findings underscore the potential of strained InGaN-based semiconductor compounds for developing advanced multi-color photonic devices, including near-infrared photodetectors and lasers, by harnessing their tunable optical properties.

Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) exhibit great promise in cancer therapy and drug delivery due to their unique physicochemical properties. The utilization of plant extracts and phytochemicals for the synthesis of AuNPs offers a simple, rapid, eco-friendly, and cost-effective alternative. This review provides an in-depth analysis of the role of plant-mediated AuNPs in cancer treatment, focusing on their core mechanisms, drug delivery applications, and future potential. It emphasizes the advantages of green synthesis methods for cancer therapy, detailing the processes involved and highlighting various plants used for nanoparticle biosynthesis. The review also explores the anti-cancer effects of plant-mediated AuNPs, such as their ability to selectively target cancer cells and induce apoptosis, supported by both in vitro and in vivo studies. Additionally, the application of these nanoparticles in targeted drug delivery for cancer therapy is examined. The review addresses biocompatibility and toxicity concerns, providing insights into the safety of these nanoparticles. Future research directions and challenges are discussed to overcome current limitations and maximize their clinical applicability. In summary, plant-mediated AuNPs offer a sustainable and effective approach for cancer therapy and drug delivery, with their green synthesis and diverse anti-cancer properties highlighting their potential. Further research is essential to fully realize their clinical benefits.

Plant-mediated gold nanoparticles in cancer therapy: exploring anti-cancer mechanisms, drug delivery applications, and future prospects

Background Cancer is recognized as a major public health problem worldwide, which brings a large number of deaths and serious economic burden. Traditional cancer treatments generally have problems such as limited application, large side effects, and drug resistance. With the rise of nanomedicine technology, its unique advantages in precision drug delivery, imaging sensitivity, assisted drug release, and enhanced drug properties have brought new hope to cancer patients. These therapies, including photothermal therapy, drug delivery, and immunotherapy, use various nanoparticles such as gold and iron-oxide to improve targeted treatment and reduce side effects. The increasing interest in sustainable NP production and safety concerns has driven new research into biocompatible and eco-friendly methods. This study aims to analyze the current research status and global trends in cancer therapy using nanoparticles through a bibliometric analysis. Methods The Web of Science Core Collection database was searched for publications related to NP-based cancer therapies from January 1995 to December 2023. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using using Bibliometrix Online Analysis Platform, HistCite Pro 2.1, VOSviewer version 1.6.20 and RStudio version 4.3.1, covering metrics like the number of publications, citations, countries, institutions, journals, authors, references, and keywords. Results A total of 452 articles published in 233 journals. The number of publications on clinical cancer therapy with metal Nanomaterials has shown consistent annual growth. China and Chinese Academy of Sciences were the leading country and institution contributing to this field, respectively. The most prolific author was Zangeneh Mohammad Mahdi, and Biomaterials was the most prolific journal. Key research hotspots identified include keywords such as “gold nanoparticles”, “delivery”, “drug delivery,” “green synthesis,” and “cytotoxicity.” Conclusion This is one of the first studies to perform a bibliometric analysis and visualization of publications onclinical cancer therapy with metal Nanomaterials, offering valuable insights for researchers. Future studies should focus on enhancing the efficacy, biocompatibility, and sustainable synthesis of nanoparticles, with an emphasis on their use in personalized medicine and photodynamic therapy.

Trends in the application of metal Nanobiomaterials in cancer therapy clinical trials

The effects of very low temperature on the electron transport in a [110] and [100] axially aligned unstrained silicon nanowires (SiNWs) are investigated. A combination of semi-empirical 10-orbital tight-binding method, density functional theory and Ensemble Monte Carlo (EMC) methods are used. Both acoustic and optical phonons are included in the electron-phonon scattering rate calculations covering both intra-subband and inter-subband events. A comparison with room temperature (300 K) characteristics shows that for both nanowires, the average electron steady-state drift velocity increases at least 2 times at relatively moderate electric fields and lower temperatures. Furthermore, the average drift velocity in [110] nanowires is 50 percent more than that of [100] nanowires, explained by the difference in their conduction subband effective mass. Transient average electron velocity suggests that there is a pronounced streaming electron motion at low temperature which is attributed to the reduced electron-phonon scattering rates.
