The ageing of human facial skin is an inevitable process. With age, wrinkles appear, the skin becomes thinner, there is a decrease in hydration, elasticity and firmness, and a general loss of vitality. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of microneedle mesotherapy in preventing and reducing the signs of skin ageing in women who underwent a series of microneedle mesotherapy treatments. Microneedle mesotherapy treatments significantly improve skin tone and firmness, lift the oval of the face, increase skin hydration and reduce wrinkles. In recent years, microneedle mesotherapy has gained increasing interest as a non-invasive and effective method of preventing and reducing the signs of skin ageing.

Biotechnology, as an interdisciplinary scientific field, is crucial in identifying the valuable active ingredients of plants. Their application extends beyond medical and pharmaceutical formulations to encompass cosmetics, in which these natural substances play a significant role. This article aimed to investigate the potential advantages of integrating cannabis-derived compounds into skincare cosmetic formulations. Their therapeutic efficacy on diverse dermatoses was emphasised. The diverse applications of cannabinoids and terpenes in cosmetic formulations were also examined. Scientific report analysis confirms the beneficial effects of cannabis-derived compounds, including cannabidiol and seed oil, in enhancing skin health and addressing inflammation and dermatological issues. The potential of cannabis-derived compounds in creating novel and effective cosmeceutical products was emphasised.

The World Health Organisation defines health as not merely the absence of disease, but as a state of complete physical, social, and mental well-being. Consequently, in the context of cancer, it is essential to implement interventions at various levels to enhance the treatment process and optimise outcomes. This study aimed to elucidate the alterations in the skin of women with breast cancer receiving oncological treatments and care methodologies. The issue of oncology patients' perception of attractiveness was also discussed. Applying cosmetological services during oncological treatment can enhance well-being, expedite the healing process, and elevate the patient's social value.

The increasing interest in effective slimming and body contouring methods encourages ongoing advancements in technology and treatment techniques. Liposuction is a method of fat reduction; however, it entails surgical intervention, extended recovery time, and potential complications. Cavitation liposuction is a non-invasive form of liposuction. This study aimed to assess the impact of cavitation liposuction on adipose tissue reduction. A comprehensive assessment of the skin condition was conducted both preand post-procedure. The aetiology and manifestations of excessive adipose tissue accumulation were described.

Nutricosmetics are nutritional supplements that affect the condition of the skin and its appendages. They are available as ampoules, capsules, or tablets which improve skin elasticity and tone, as well as increase its hydration. Supplements, that prevent excessive hair loss and support the proper growth of nails, are also classified as nutricosmetics. Many supplements contain compounds of plant origin that are rich in active ingredients and exhibit a beneficial effect on the physiology of the skin and its appendages. The aim of this study was to assess the health-promoting effects of selected species of medicinal plants used in nutricosmetics based on the latest literature reports. During the analysis of specific species, the herbal raw material, main biologically active substances, their action, and application were taken into account. Active ingredients are obtained from many parts of plants, including fruits, leaves, and herbs. They are a source of flavonoids, mineral salts, vitamins, and antioxidants of antiaging, and anti-inflammatory properties. The wide use of plant raw materials of popular species and the richness of active ingredients of multidimensional action obtained from them, creates great opportunities for the dietary supplement industry.

In the rapidly expanding beauty and hairdressing industry, effective quality management is gaining significance as a crucial determinant of success for salons and offices. The article aimed to examine the conduct of owners and employees and comprehend their perspectives and responses to quality management. The analysis focused on key areas of quality management in beauty, cosmetology, and hairdressing salons. It utilised survey data from owners, employees, and customers. These areas included strategic communication, communication of changes and innovations, personal development of employees, quality management system, and consistency of services provided by employees. The survey data confirms the influence of practices on customer satisfaction and provides insights into enhancing service quality, fostering customer loyalty, and improving company competitiveness.
