The journal "Flow Measurement and Instrumentation" is dedicated to disseminating the latest research findings in the field of flow measurement, covering both closed pipe and open channel flow measurement. The design of flow measurement systems involves a wide range of multidisciplinary activities, including modeling flow sensors, fluid flow, and sensor-fluid interactions using computational techniques; developing advanced sensor systems and their associated signal processing; and conducting laboratory and field evaluations of the entire system under ideal and disturbed conditions. FMI serves as a key forum for information exchange, particularly encouraging contributions in the following areas of interest: Modeling: Applying mathematical and computational models to the interaction between fluid dynamics and flow meters, including flow meter behavior, improved flow meter design, and installation issues. The application of CAD/CAE technologies in flow meter modeling is also qualified. Design and Development: Detailed design of flow meter heads and signal processing aspects of new flow meters, focusing on identifying new sensor configurations, multi-sensor flow measurement systems, non-intrusive flow measurement technologies, and the application of microelectronics in intelligent systems. Calibration Techniques: Including descriptions of new or existing calibration facilities and techniques, with calibration data from different types of flow meters and calibration comparison data from various laboratories. Installation Effect Data: Addressing the impact of non-ideal flow conditions on flow meters. Papers that combine theoretical understanding of flow meter behavior with experimental work are particularly welcomed.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.
