The journal Biomedical Materials (Bristol) aims to publish original research findings and critical reviews to enhance our understanding of the composition, characteristics, and performance of various application materials related to human healthcare. The typical areas of focus include, but are not limited to: synthesis and characterization of biomedical materials, natural synthesis and biomineralization of biomedical materials, in vitro and in vivo performance of biomedical materials, biomanufacturing technologies and applications (such as 3D bioprinting, bioink development, bioassembly, and biopatterning), manufacturing, testing, and translational applications of microfluidic systems (including disease models), tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, interactions between molecules/cells and materials, the influence of biomaterials on stem cell behavior, growth factors, genes, and cells in biomaterials, biophysical cues and biocompatibility pathways in biomaterials performance, clinical applications of biomaterials in treating diseases (such as cancer), nanomedicine, nanotoxicology, and nanopathology, pharmacokinetic considerations in drug delivery systems, risks of contrast agents in imaging systems, biosafety aspects of gene delivery agents, preclinical and clinical performance of implantable biomedical materials, and translational and regulatory matters.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors
