NATURE NANOTECHNOLOGY is an interdisciplinary journal that publishes high-quality and significant papers in all areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology. The journal covers research on the design, characterization, and production of structures, devices, and systems that manipulate and control materials and phenomena at the atomic, molecular, and macromolecular scales. It encompasses both bottom-up and top-down approaches, as well as combinations of the two. NATURE NANOTECHNOLOGY encourages the exchange of ideas among chemists, physicists, materials scientists, biomedical researchers, engineers, and other researchers active at the forefront of the field, fostering diversity and interdisciplinary collaboration. The scope includes fundamental research in physics, chemistry, and biology, computational work and simulations, as well as the development of new devices and technologies for applications across a wide range of industrial sectors, including information technology, medicine, manufacturing, high-performance materials, and energy and environmental technologies. The journal covers research areas such as: carbon nanotubes and fullerenes, computational nanotechnology, electronic properties and devices, environmental, health, and safety issues, molecular machines and motors, molecular self-assembly, nanobiotechnology, nanofluids, nanomagnetism and spintronics, nanomaterials, nanomedicine, nanometrology and instrumentation, nanoparticles, nanosensors and other devices, NEMS, organic-inorganic nanostructures, photonic structures and devices, quantum information, structural properties, surface patterning and imaging, synthesis and processing.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
A journal article with 1 author
A journal article with 2 authors
A journal article with 3 authors
A journal article with 5 or more authors
Books Citation Format
Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.
Thesis Citation Format
Web sites Citation Format
Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
