The Annals of Nuclear Energy is an international journal dedicated to the exchange of original research, ideas, and developments in the field of nuclear science and technology. Its scope includes nuclear fuel reserves, fuel cycle and costs, materials, processing, system and component technologies (limited to fission), design and optimization, direct conversion of nuclear energy, environmental control, reactor physics, heat transfer and fluid dynamics, structural analysis, fuel management, future developments, nuclear fuel and safety, nuclear aerosols, neutron physics, computer technology (software and hardware), risk assessment, radioactive waste management, and reactor thermal hydraulics. Papers submitted to the journal must demonstrate a clear connection to nuclear power generation or nuclear engineering. Papers focusing on pure nuclear physics, pure health physics, imaging technologies, or the attenuation and shielding properties of concrete and various geological materials are outside the scope of the journal. Additionally, papers addressing policy or economics are not included in the journal's scope.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Books Citation Format

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.

Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
